"Y" Type Strainers are named after their shape. Ultra Cure "Y" Type Strainers can be used for course filtration and with large filtration area. It can be used with fine mesh also. It can be installed in either a horizontal or vertical position (Downward flow) with the screen element pointing downwards. This allows the strainer screen to collect material in the strainer at the lowest point of the screen.
Ultra Cure Y-Strainers features a machine-tapered seat for a perfect fit to the removable strainer screen: and a blow off plug that can be replaced with an optional ball valve for in-line blow down of dirt, scale, rust etc.
